Fit check

Five questions, and an honest answer

Most of what we do involves a concentrated position, a liquidity event, a business, or digital assets that affect the rest of the balance sheet. This tells you whether that is your situation — including when it is not.

3Approximately how much is affected by the decision?

Dollar size and percentage tell different stories. A large position can matter even when it is not most of your net worth.

4When does a meaningful decision need to be made?

5What kind of relationship are you seeking?

This helps distinguish a planning fit from a one-off request.

Still needed: select at least one reason for looking now; select at least one asset or decision; select an approximate dollar amount; select an approximate share of net worth; select a decision timeline; select the relationship being sought

What this is, and what it is not

Most of our engagements involve a concentrated position, an approaching liquidity event, a business whose finances overlap with the household, or digital assets material enough to affect everything else. Typical engagements generally start around $1M, or a clear path to that level through a liquidity event.

Straightforward planning — a diversified portfolio, a clear timeline, no coordination problem — is well served by advisers who specialise in it, and this tool will say so rather than route you into a conversation that wastes your time. A situation that is genuinely complex but does not match one of our audiences is treated the same way: as a candid conversation rather than an automatic match.

It is a self-assessment, not advice, and no result creates an advisory relationship. Advisory services are provided only under a signed agreement.
